Jane Chifley

Get to know Jane:

I am a singer/songwriter who has been performing for over 12 years.

I have performed at both German and Sydney World Youth Days and toured the USA in 2005. I was involved with and started St Michael's Youth band, a great froup of young people ! The band is still leading worship there.  I have performed at Forest Edge,Blackstump and The National Gospel Happening in Canberra over a number of years in between teaching.

My heart is for worship and I don't care which church I worship in. I think that Catholics have become very rigid in their worship whilst loving the church I can see we have failed to really embrace the new pentecost that came with the Charismatic renewal but there is always hope. I love worshipping in the Catholic Church . I also love worshipping with my protestant and pentecostal brothers and sisters. In 2011 after having some very traumatic events in my life. I needed healing and one of the most special times for me has been to receive and just be washed over in worship for 8 months in Darlene and Mark's church at Charmhaven, NSW. After a season of prayer I suppose you could say new songs have started to emerge in particular from the Book of Psalms. I would have to say much of my music is prophetic/healing and often when composing I have sense of what God is trying to say to me.
